Narodowy Program Foresight POLSKA 2020

On 29 October 2008 at Pałac Staszica in Warsaw a conference entitled „National Foresight Programme Polska 2020 – Scenario Assumptions” was held.

On 27 May 2008 at Dom Technika NOT in Warsaw a conference entitled "Modern Technologies for Small and Medium Enterprises in Foresight Projects as a Tool to Improve Conditions for Establishing Innovative Enterprises" was held. The conference was organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, contracted by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

On 12 May 2008 in Poznań an e-Business Conference organised by the Coordinating Consortium of the National Foresight Programme Polska 2020 and the Poznań University of Economics was held.

On 12 May 2008 in Poznań, at the Main Building of the Poznań University of Economics, the first conference on the implementation of the National Foresight Programme will be held.

On 3 April 2008 a meeting of Klub Polska 2015 was held, entitled "Scenarios for Poland".

On June 6, 2007 Professor Michał Kleiber, President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, delivered a lecture at the Cracow University of Economics.

National Programme Foresight 2020 - a Partner to the Conference New Technologies and Modern Institutions for Economic Growth in Poland

On March 26-29, 2007 Ms. Iwona Nowicka, Head of the Foresight Division of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, participated in training organised in Tokyo by the Japanese National Institute and Technology Policy, NISTEP (NISTEP S&T Lectures 2007). The training focused on presenting experience related to Japan's science and R&D policy and implementation of Japanese Foresight programmes.

On September 27-29, 2007 in Budapest a conference "Technology Foresight Summit 2007, Water Productivity In the Industry", organised by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Hungarian Government, will be held.  The conference, to be organised for the second time already, is an important gathering event for Central and Eastern European scientists and practitioners specialising in state-of-the-art innovative technologies.

On March 27, 2007 in Biblioteka Śląska (the Śląska Library) in Katowice, a meeting „Global directions in science and technology – challenges for R&D sector in the Śląsk region” was held.

On April 3, 2007 in the Marriott hotel in Warsaw a conference "Real money in the virtual world", organised by Puls Biznesu, Google and KPMG, was held.

One of the speakers was Prof. Jacek Koronacki, Chairman of the Research Area „Information and Telecommunications Technologies", who gave a presentation entitled "How can scientific achievements be quickly transposed to the economy".

On March 22, 2007 Dr. Jacek Kuciński took part in the scientific conference "Foresight – new instrument of scientific policy", organised by the Human Science Progress Study Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences at the Pałac Staszica [the Staszica Palace] in Warsaw. During the conference Dr. Kuciński gave a presentation on organisation and methodology of the National  Foresight Programme „Polska 2020”.

On March 1, 2007 the official opening ceremony of the National Foresight Programme „Polska 2020” was held. The Opening Conference of the National Foresight Programme „Polska 2020”, organised by the Coordinating Consortium, grouped eminent representatives of the Polish science, public administration, economy and media.

On March 1, 2007 at 11.00 o'clock in the main Auditorium of the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biochemical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences at ul. Ks. Trojdena 4 in Warsaw, the Opening Conference of the National Foresight Programme "Polska 2020" will commence.
